New Delhi:
Yash turned a year older on Wednesday (January 8). On the special occasion, the actor dropped the teaser of his much-anticipated film, Toxic – A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups. The 25-second teaser is a bold and tantalising introduction to a world brimming with mystery and allure.
Yash steps into the scene dressed in a sharp white suit, complete with a fedora and cigar in hand. The actor also shared a poster on his Instagram stories.
Speaking about Yash and the creation of Toxic, director Geetu Mohandas shared her thoughts on the project. She described it as a story that challenges conventions.
During the teaser launch event, she said, “Today, as we release the first peek of our film we also celebrate Yash – a man the nation reveres for his vision and swagger. I have observed his brilliance and to those who know him or follow his journey, his process is as mysterious as it is meticulous.”
She continued, “It is both a privilege and a thrill to have co-written this captivating world alongside a mind that sees the extraordinary where others see the ordinary. When our two worlds of thought collide, the result is neither compromise nor chaos-it’s the transformation that happens when artistic vision meets the precision of commercial storytelling transcending borders, languages, and cultural confines.”
While reports suggest Kareena Kapoor and Shruti Haasan’s involvement in the project, an official confirmation is still awaited. Reportedly, Kareena will make her Kannada film debut.
Toxic purportedly delves into the narrative of the Goan Drug Cartel and is being produced by KVN Production in conjunction with Yash’s own banner, Monster Mind Creations, marking his debut as a producer. The film is slated for a theatrical release in April 2025.
In addition to Toxic, Yash is rumoured to have joined Nitesh Tiwari’s cast for Ramayana, where he is speculated to essay the role of Ravana.
A source close to the project told Pinkvilla, “Yash’s presence in Ramayana: Part One is substantial, with his character gaining prominence in the sequel, set in Sri Lanka. He has allocated 15 days for the initial shoot of Ramayana: Part One.”
